Overview

FucoSkin® is an exceptional fucoidan-polysaccharide-rich extract, harnessed from the brown algae Laminaria japonica using a cutting-edge aqueous extraction process. This remarkable compound has undergone rigorous clinical testing and is proudly Halal certified.

Fucoidan is highly bioactive compound that plays a pivotal role in protecting seaweed from water-borne pathogens and damage caused by ultraviolet light (UV). Extensive research has demonstrated that fucoidan extracts possess similar remarkable skin-protective effects and offer a wide range of benefits in dermatological applications.

FucoSkin® acts as a powerful anti-aging and anti-wrinkle active ingredient. It helps significantly reduce the depth of wrinkles, improve skin elasticity and dermal collagen structure, thus reversing the signs of aging. It is also a good inhibitor of the collagen-degrading enzymes, known as “matrix metalloproteases” (MMP) and can specifically down-regulate UVB-induced MMP expression to prevent premature aging of skin.

Anti-Pigmentation

Volunteers:
25 female randomly selected, aged 30-60 years old

Procedure:
A based cream containing 1% and 3% FucoSkin® applied once daily after cleansing (night) for 7 days.

Results assessment:
VISIA Complexion Analysis System, Cutometer® MPA580 and DERMALAB® COMBO skin analysis system were used to assess the effect of using FucoSkin® base-cream.
