Beta-Glucan

Overview

AquaGlucan™ is 100% naturally derived from the fermentation of the edible mushroom Schizophyllum commune. These polysaccharides promote skin health due to their moisturizing effect, antioxidant activity, anti-wrinkle activity, and wound healing capacity. It forms a protective barrier on the skin that retains water and activates cell proliferation.

 

Studies have shown that Beta-Glucans are 20% more hydrating than hyaluronic acid as well as better anti-inflammatory properties than Dexamethasone.

Formulation Guidelines

• 0.5-10% (Clinically tested at 5%)

• 4.0-7.5

• Add to the water phase or formula at or below 40°C
